A $10.00 donation will be made to Belmont Second Soccer for each camper who indicates on the registration form that they played on a Second Soccer team this school year.

Belmont Summer Day Camps (entering grades K-6):

Multi-Sport + Arts and Crafts: June 18 - 22, 2012

Soccer + Arts and Crafts Camp: June 25 - 29, 2012

 

General Info:
Champion Soccer School's Belmont Summer Day Camps are in their 3rd year. It is for boys and girls of all abilities entering grades K-6. Each week is split up into three sub-programs (grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-6)

The soccer curriculum will have two components. The first component involves a variety of soccer-related activities. These drills will help teach some of the core fundamentals of soccer (dribbling, passing shooting, and trapping). In addition to developing fundamental skills, games will focus on teamwork and cooperation and maintaining a positive attitude.

The multi-sport curriculum will have two components. The first component involves a variety of recreational activities. Children will participate in sports such as soccer and basketball. In addition to playing sports, children will also participate in a variety of recreational activities such as kickball, relays, tennis baseball, and frisbee golf.

Both camps will also include an arts & crafts component where children will learn the art of perspective, shading, and cartooning. In addition, students will learn how to make a variety of things they can take home, such as paper airplanes and bracelets.
 

What to bring:
- Running Shoes (we will be using the gymnasium and cleats are not allowed in the building)
- Lunches and snacks (we have a refrigerator to keep them cool during the day)
- Sunscreen
- Cleats (soccer camp only)
- Shin Gaurds (soccer camp only) 

Forms to bring:
- "Contact Information" - provided on "FORMS" link on Website
- Physical with immunizations within 2 years of start of camp
- "medication form" (optional - only bring this if you have medications to dispense) - provided on  "FORMS" link on Website

What your child receives:
- Water and Gatorade
- Camp T-Shirt
- Soccer Ball (soccer camp only)
- Evaluation of their soccer skills, teamwork and cooperation (soccer camp only)

- 9 am to 3 pm

Sample Schedule

9:00-9:15                     Campers arrive and play warm up games

9:15-9:30                     Meeting and Schedule for the day

9:30-10:30                   Sport session: (soccer, basketball, tennis baseball)

10:30-10:45                 Snack

10:45-12:00                 Arts & Crafts (ex: perspective drawing, shading techniques)

12:00-12:30                 Lunch

12:30-1:30                   Sport session - Whole Group Cooperative Games (ex: relays, messy backyard)

1:30-2:45                     Sport session - Recreational Games (ex: capture the flag, frisbee golf)

2:45-3:00                     Meeting

Note: the "sport session" will primarily be soccer-related during the soccer camp but will include a wider variety of sports during the multi-sport camp.
