Belmont Multi Sport and Arts & Crafts Camp:
Mini Camp - June 21-25, 2010 (entering grades K-6)

The purpose of this camp will be to provide a fun and safe environment where children can develop skills revolving around teamwork and sportsmanship. Children will improve their athletic and artistic abilities, learn the rules of popular sports, and participate in other fun recreational games that encourage cooperative play. The campers will be split into three groups based on grade level: K-1, 2-3, and 4-6. The K-1 group will have a camper to counselor ratio of no greater than 5:1 and the others groups will not exceed a ratio of 10:1.

The curriculum will have two components. The first component involves a variety of recreational activities. Children will participate in sports such as soccer and basketball. In addition to playing sports, children will also participate in a variety of recreational activities such as kickball, relays, tennis baseball, and frisbee golf.

The camp will also include an arts & crafts component where children will learn the art of perspective, shading, and cartooning. In addition, students will learn how to make a variety of things they can take home, such as paper airplanes and bracelets.
