Champion's Junior Introductory Program was created for fun-loving youngsters entering grades K-2. Activities during the first half of the day are primarily soccer-oriented, while activities during the second half of the day may include a supervised visit to the Wayland Town Pool, fun games, or additional soccer-related activities. Due to popular demand we will be adding a small arts and crafts component for the Junior Introductory Program!

Created for students entering 3rd - 5th grade, Champion's Youth Development Program emphasizes establishing and improving upon a solid foundation of basic skills.  Dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending are crucial lessons that must be taught and learned before a field player can excel to higher levels of soccer.  In addition to field player training, the Youth Development Program teaches basic goalkeeping skills including catching, distribution, and breakaway work.  The Youth Development Program builds these basic skills through repetition of innovative games and drills designed to encourage proper technique and mindset.

The Middle School Prep is a program for field players entering grades 6 - 8 looking to prepare for middle school-caliber soccer.  This program aims to sharpen skills, practice correct technique, quicken decision making, and provide insightful suggestions that will help one succeed at the middle school level.  Experienced instructors will ensure that students get the most out of the program through a series of small-sided games; passing, shooting, and dribbling drills; 1 v.1 activities, and light conditioning exercises.  In addition, Middle School Prep expands beyond the Youth Development Program to encompass lessons on both offensive and defensive team tactics.

The High School Academy is an extensive program for field players entering grades 9 - 12.  Combining a thorough conditioning program with proven drills and a focus on team play, the Academy is designed to prepare students for a high school season.  The program is headed by some former top soccer players and captains from Brandeis University and current high school coaches. These first-rate instructors will help students attain mid-season form by utilizing small-sided games, 1 v. 1 activities, and various passing, shooting and dribbling drills. Concentration on team tactics will include lessons on restarts, vision of the field, recognition of opponent strategy, and speed of attack.

Champion’s Goalkeeper Academy provides comprehensive training to goalkeepers entering grades 3 - 12 (youth, middle school and high school ages).  Topics covered in this program include footwork; movement to low balls, mid-range balls, and high balls; crosses; restarts; breakaways; distribution; and more.  After each lesson, goalkeepers will have the opportunity to test what they have learned in drills that utilize the addition of field players.  Students will also receive training in small-sided games to improve their ability to read the field, make quick decisions, and stop shots at close range.
